About Sequoia

Based in Monterey, California, we have been serving California agents since 1947, and are licensed in all western and most other states. Sequoia designs commercial lines products for western business and provides these through appointed independent agents.

We are a 'super domestic' insurance carrier - committed to serving our California-based agents' needs as their customers expand to other states. We maintain a lean corporate structure, providing our agents and others immediate access to all Sequoia's decision-makers. Sequoia agents play an active role in the development of new products.

Among our premier innovations are Sequoia Edge, an extremely flexible and comprehensive risk management solution for middle market customers, and Sequoia Enterprise, a leading commercial package policy for small business owners.

Sequoia Edge provides flexible coverage using a broad underlying form including 10 coverages with optional limit selections. An Extender Endorsement provides an additional 27 coverages each with a choice of limit options.

Sequoia Enterprise is designed for small businesses with property values under $10 million and annual sales receipts of less than $5 million. Sequoia Enterprise provides an extensive line-up of property and casualty coverages for retail, service, wholesale, manufacturing and habitational businesses.

Sequoia writes commercial umbrella and automobile as part of Sequoia Edge and Sequoia Enterprise policies. These coverages are also written in support of Sequoia's agribusiness policies.

Our underwriting for property and casualty is performed in local territories close to our agents' businesses and supported out of our Monterey, CA office, and in Las Vegas, NV for workers' compensation.
